Everyone has some nagging health issue that bothers them.  They’ve lived with it for years and don’t think anything can be done for it.

Because seeing a doctor isn’t that great or maybe they’ll offer options that are worse than the current situation.

That’s why it’s cool when I learn a  new therapy that helps those health issues that I thought couldn’t be helped.

Moving shoulders well which are healed

Frozen Shoulder Healed!

I developed a frozen shoulder about 13 years ago. I would like to say that the shoulder injury was from martial arts or lifting something heavy but unfortunately I believe that I hurt my shoulder putting the baby stroller into the car trunk.

After that injury my right shoulder was never the same.   I couldn’t scratch the itchy place on my left back.  The movement of the Right shoulder was off.

I couldn’t touch my left shoulder behind my back but I could touch the opposite side with my left shoulder.  It didn’t hurt but having my right shoulder off bothered me.

I went thru physical therapy for couple months many years back which helped but not totally. I went to the  PIT workshop in Washington and had my shoulder treated by a colleague of mine.

Right after the injections, my shoulder regained FULL movement! After 13 years!

Perineural Injection Therapy

What is PIT? It’s Perineural Therapy Injection.  Dr. Lyftogt, a New Zealand doctor discovered that you could get rid of pain by using glucose injections to feed the nerves.  Most pain that lasts for a while is caused by nerves.  So that means that most pain could be treated by this.

The nerves in my right shoulder affect the movement of the shoulder.  Making the nerves work better made my shoulder able to move better….even after 13 years!

At the conference, we treated each other.  These are just some of the results I saw at the workshop using techniques that I learned to do.

  • able to rotate neck lot more fully in an elderly gentleman who couldn’t totally move neck initially
  • Improvement in back motion (bending forwards, backwards and rotation) in a retired dentist
  • less pain  of Morton’s Neuromas (foot pain) which had not responded to regular foot care
  • improvement of shoulder motion as discussed above
  • making the hips stronger by treating the nerves
  • improvement of headaches
  • less pain with plantar fasciitis
  • improvement in back pain

So if you have pain issues or a body part that isn’t acting totally normally, contact me and I will let you know if PIT is something that can be helpful to you.
