What causes emotional stress?  Yes, a bad day can always cause emotional stress. But there are different kinds of stressors – there can also be biochemical stressors.

Meaning that something in the body can make a person feel stressed.  And the biochemical stressors can be corrected.  An example of that is pyrroles.  Huh?

Let’s read about a case.

science behind stressors

Biochemical stressor

The lady had long standing anemia which made her tired most of her life.  After menopause the anemia got better as she was no longer having periods. When the fatigue was better, other troubling  symptoms showed up.

She realized that she had a low grade anxiety and overthought pretty much everything. An urine test for pyrroles was ordered and shown positive.  She was put on the appropriate supplements. She noticed that her  all-the-time anxiety was less than before. She thought clearer and had less inner tension!

What is the science behind stressors?  This stressor is caused by a loss of vitamins that calm the mind down.  When the vitamins that calm the mind are down, then the mind becomes overactive – it can overthink and be anxious.  It can be always tense.

There can be poor stress tolerance, mood swings, and difficulty managing emotions. This is not a common cause but when a person seems tense when they shouldn’t be, it should be thought of.

Physically, people can be sensitive to bright lights, loud noises, and strong odors. They may also have white spots on their nails.

So if a person has mood swings, seems overly tense a lot of the time , and they have multiple health issues going on, think about pyrolluria.

It’s not uncommonly thought of and if you don’t think of it, you will never diagnose it.  But if you think of it, then you at least have a chance to diagnose it.
