“When one’s feet hurts, one hurts all over” is what was said by Socrates. And that is definitely true based on what I hear from clients.
Foot pain can be quite bothersome. One cause of foot pain is Morton’s neuroma.
Standard treatments for Morton’s neuroma can include treatments such as steroid injections or surgeries but they may not work well.
As this case below demonstrates.
Foot Pain Relief
The lady was diagnosed with Morton’s neuroma by a foot doctor. She had steroid shots in her foot over a period of 9 months. For those people who have never had a foot injection, it is not a piece of cake. It can be quite painful.
Unfortunately those steroid shots did not help much. The shots were changed to a different style of shots and they were done repeatedly over the years. After many injections(she thinks it may have been up to a Hundred!) she was offered surgery for the foot.
She declined the surgery and continued with the foot pain. The foot pain was quite bothersome, it would happen after walking which she enjoyed doing.
And it had been going on for 12 years when she saw me.
When I saw her I did a technique called Perineural Injection Therapy and 1 week later, her foot pain had gone away!
Why does PIT work?
What is different from Perineural Injection Therapy(PIT) compared to all the therapies she had done before?
It is all about understanding how the body works.
She had injections before of steroids, of stem cells, of anesthetics but they didn’t help the pain go away. Perineural injection therapy uses sugar which actually feeds the nerves.
The injection of sugar at the painful sites of the nerves is what made the foot pain go away! It is a fast acting foot pain relief.
So if you have painful nerve issues that are not getting better, think of getting PIT. It may work where other therapies did not work. It is an advanced foot pain treatment.
It doesn’t have to be used just for pain that’s been there for a long time.
It can also be used after an injury to help calm down inflammation so it can be used to help heal a pulled hamstring which can take months to heal normally or help someone heal from a surgery quicker.
