What is the most important thing in our health? The more I practice medicine and the more conferences I attend, I believe the most important thing that affects our health is emotional health.
What?! Why do I say that?
I’ve seen quite a few clients with multiple health problems. And I’ve seen that the ones who prioritize emotional health significance do well despite how many physical issues they have. Let me give you an example of what I see.
Emotional health significance
The lady had a great attitude. Physical issues had been adding on over the years She was pretty aware of chemicals as cologne bothered her quite a bit.
Neck pain had been going on for 20 years. She also had TMJ which was bothersome. She had a headache that was mostly there for the last seven years.
But that didn’t stop her from doing her work which she loved. A symptom questionnaire showed she had a lot of physical health problems.. She could have retired but she kept on working because she found her work fulfilling.
I saw her and realized that her pain could be helped. I used neural therapy and over the next couple of days, her TMJ pain hurt less and the headaches became less intense
The connection between emotional health and overall health is quite important. The lady had physical issues and her symptom questionnaire score was similar to those who were almost housebound because of their illness.
But because of her attitude and emotional health, she was doing well even thriving. Her emotional health over-rode the physical health issues.
So if someone has health issues, prioritize the emotional health as well. Why? Emotional health matters and can be the difference between thriving and not thriving.
