Pain relief is a good thing but is there more to it than just having no pain? Imagine having pain all the time and now there is no pain. It feels different and good.
But what does having no pain allow you to do? Let’s read about a client who was able to use her pain free status to deepen meaningful connections.
Less Pain More Connecting
She had been raised by her older sister so their relationship was close. But then the older sister moved away to a different country far away. They shared a common interest of playing video games. But she had pain in both hands which limited her ability to handle the controllers.
The more she used the hands the more pain there was, especially when using the thumbs. I treated the thumbs with PIT and the thumb pain was gone!
Now she should use the controllers without pain. Therefore she could spend more quality time with her sister:)
Nurturing Connections
Pain relief is good but it’s only a means to an end. We need to be connected to other people. We are social beings and need to be with other people – even if we are introverts!
Being connected to other people helps us mentally and emotionally. Whether it’s spending time with them or talking to them, it is necessary.
What is keeping you from nurturing your connections? If it is health related , please realize that there probably is a therapy out there that might be of help to you. There are more therapies out there than you and I can think of.
Perhaps we can figure out what system of the body is not working right. From there , the search for the right therapy or therapies may be easier.
