Medical problems can happen after surgery.  Complications of the surgery can happen from the surgery directly itself or indirectly.

The gut is very sensitive to everything out there so it’s not surprising that sometimes the gut is involved after surgery.

Let’s read about a recent client with those problems.

woman with abdomen pain

Gut Not Healing

The young lady had been recovering from a car accident and covid.  She was doing well but then she had to have pelvic surgery for endometriosis.  The procedure lasted longer than expected  as there was a lot of scar tissue.

Her period got better but her gut got worse.  Now she was having a lot of gas which hadn’t been there before.  And  she was having diarrhea as well.

It seemed like the surgery had set back her health. When I saw her, I realized that the nervous system of her gut had been impacted.

I treated the nervous system of her gut and she felt the difference.  She felt more calmer than she did before the visit and felt improved.

When to Treat Gut Problems

She didn’t feel right after the surgery because she thought it was expected that surgery would effect her.  But after a reasonable time of one month, if things aren’t going well then other things are going on.

Her gut and her nervous system were off.  She could  treat the gut with probiotics but the nervous system was off which needed to be treated.  The person’s system was sensitive enough that she could feel the difference of the treatment right away.

The nervous system had been injured by the surgery and it was fixed by neural therapy.

So if digestive problems  develope after surgery or after any stressful incident and they continue, step back and think about it.  You can eat fermented foods, add in probiotics, try to lower the stress and see how things go.

If the gut continues acting up though it might be time to see your local integrative medical doctor who knows about gut health as well as neural therapy. Because something could be done to help the health get back on track.
