Surgery can be quite helpful but it can also have downsides.  Some people develop pain after surgery and  that  can be worse than the original reason why surgery was done.

What causes that and what can be done about it?

Continuing Shoulder Pain After Surgery

The  young lady had right shoulder surgery for a torn shoulder labrum. After the surgery, there was increased pain around the shoulder.  She saw the orthopedist and the xrays were normal.

So she was told to live with the shoulder pain. When I saw her, her  right upper back was quite painful and she couldn’t really lay on her right side.

I examined her and realized that the nerves on the right back were all inflamed and painful.  I did PIT (Perineural therapy) which is a  cool therapy that treats nerve pain.

At the END of the visit, she was able to move her right back better than before the visit.  She was in less pain and happy about how she could sleep on her right side.

Integrative Therapy for Surgical Recovery

What happened after her surgery?  Surgery involves cutting the skin.  When the skin is cut, nerves are cut as well which causes pain.  And those cut nerves are connected to other nerves which can cause pain as well.

Of course, anytime a surgery happens, it happens in a person who may have other health issues.  Those other health issues affect the body environment so that the surgery may set off a chain reaction in the body.

I saw the painful nerves when I examined her and using a revolutionary therapy for nerve pain (PIT) I was able to decrease her pain

So when a person develops pain after surgery, see the doctor who did the surgery.  See what they say and if they can help decrease the pain.  But if medications, time, and pain specialists are not helping then there are other options.

There are integrative therapies for surgical recovery.   Nerves cause pain and treating nerves with PIT can decrease pain. A doctor who does PIT can help.
