How Novelty Can Help You Achieve Optimal Health

Sometimes we need to re-hear the obvious statement, as it seems too cliche for it to possibly be true.  For example, we often hear that if  something isn’t working, it doesn’t make sense to do the same thing.

This is a rephrasing of something that Albert Einstein supposedly said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Caution tape over a cell phone.

I recently saw a client in her 40s who had been sick for two decades with little response to the treatments she had tried. She had been constantly exhausted during the last three years and, had lived in a moldy home for most of her life, getting bitten by ticks often and subsequently being diagnosed with Lyme disease.

Standard antibiotics provided some relief from her symptoms but probably affected her gut health negatively. Additionally, she developed multiple food intolerances and became EMF sensitive for the last 10 years, making it impossible to tolerate supplements due to her mast cell activation syndrome. Medication was prescribed in an effort to stabilize her mast cells but unfortunately, she did not tolerate it well.

To help her recover fully, it was decided that a novel therapy should be tried instead. Neural therapy using a laser was then attempted and after just one session, she reported “great improvements”.

For TWENTY years her health course had not changed much despite all of the different therapies that had been tried. She had tried all of these therapies that should have worked, but they didn’t.

I tried a novel therapy on her which I thought would work well on her and it did. Trying a different therapy that fit what her health issue required is what finally made the difference.

The reason that all those therapies over 20 years didn’t work for her is because the therapies, even though they were well intentioned and may be helpful in certain situations, were not taking care of her Right issue.

If we treat the tip of the iceberg and it’s not working, then we have to go deeper to the bottom of the iceberg to take care of those foundational issues.
